Roofer's view

Hello first post.
A unique view of roofs, seen thru the eyes of an experienced roofer.

The opinions shown on this blog are only a personal point of view
not in any way instructions or advise
Always hire a professional roofer

Every roof its different, every problem associated with it happens to be unique.
Most problems are rather easy to spot under the trained eye, experience its the most important skill in trying to determine the reason for a leaky roof.

This is a compilation of pictures and articles designed to promote this blog

A concept designed to assist the average homeowner that lacks the knowledge of the most important thing that protects their biggest investment, with my personal experience and know how ,tools and safety.
You will see the most common roofing problems, the  "on the roof " hands -on.
temporary and/or permanent solution and the usual damage it will cause to property.
9 out 10 the pictures and explanations will speak for themselves, but there's always a variable in this field.

Water will "travel" and sometimes a rather bizarre leak will take place in an area completely different than where the opening on the roof happens to be located.
That's where even the most experienced  roofer could fail, most of the time either the roof its in need of replacement,a masonary issue (chimney tuckpointing), bad rain gutter pitching, behind siding issues
 (flashings,vapor barriers,etc)

As time goes by this blog will improve in content and substantial material for the average homeowner and reader.
